We try our best to keep the rain away on wedding days, but on Emily and Will’s wedding day, the rain was looming. The decision had to be made whether or not to keep the wedding ceremony outdoors and we made the choice to go for it!

As Emily, the bride, began her walk down the aisle, it began to rain and the guests broke out their umbrellas. As a planner, I thought, “oh no! I made the wrong decision!” And then, magic happened. The bride and groom were so in love and so into the moment that it didn’t matter that it was raining. In fact, when they were pronounced and walked down the aisle, the first thing they said to me after I congratulated them is “that was awesome”!

Canyon Kitchen at Lonesome Valley is a gorgeous setting to host a wedding. Especially for a couple like Emily and Will, who both enjoy the outdoors and love the mountains! They embraced the rain and it made for some stunning images as the mist created an ethereal setting to pledge their love to each other. The rain never dampened the celebration for this couple or their guests.

During the planning process, it was hard to track Emily down as she was always busy traveling the world and was frequently in different time zones; however, after meeting with her and coming up with a design plan with the talented team at Floressence Flowers, her vision was executed beautifully.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed amazing food from Canyon Kitchen and music from Unspoken Tradition. Following a fantastic dinner, the Business kicked off the party and the dance floor was packed until the very end of the night. Having an incredible team of vendors always makes our job easier and more rewarding especially when we are dealing with inclement weather.

Congratulations Emily + Will!
