After going to see the incredible musical production “Wicked” over the weekend, I couldn’t help but imagine a vibrant Oz inspired wedding. How fantastic to see an elegant bride with ruby red shoes peeking out from under her wedding dress. With summer right around the corner, it’s the perfect season to use one of Asheville’s many rustic barn settings as backdrop to the ceremony or reception. Complete the casual elegant vibe with rich hues of red, yellow and green against a classic black and white palette. You can use a hint of emerald with pins and necklaces for your attendants. After the reception, bid farewell to your guests from a hot air balloon just like the wizard himself.
