Claxton Farm, located just north of Asheville in Weaverville, is a gorgeous rustic venue for a wedding or wedding rehearsal with 360 degrees of unobstructed mountain views. The natural beauty of this 500 acre working farm is evident as soon as you enter the grounds. The event barn has vaulted ceilings, a grand stone fireplace and a covered terrace. If you are having your ceremony at Claxton Farm, you’ll be able to get dressed in the Bridal Bower that has seating, mirrors and dress hooks for your items.

There’s plenty of on site parking and restroom facilities for the comfort of you and your guests, as well as tables and chairs. Since there is so much outdoor space, take advantage of the grounds and the variety of lawn games that Claxton provides.

It’s hard to just read about a venue, so here are photographs from some of our previous weddings at Claxton Farm. Thank you to Realities Photography and VISIO Photography for sharing these images with us!

So many great details and such a fun wedding! Graham and Bart met at a Jets game, though neither is a Jet’s fan.  They were at a tailgate party with friends and that is where it all began. They both loved and worked for sports networks in New York, so they had an immediate connection.

Graham’s parents have a house in Cashiers so the area is very special to her. When Bart proposed over Christmas in Cashiers, it was fitting that their wedding would take place in this special idyllic setting and they could share it with friends.

The theme for the wedding was southern rustic elegance with navy and orange/peach as the main colors. There were so many thoughtful personal touches: Makers Mark favor/place tags, signature cocktails: Benton’s Bacon Old Fashioned, Tate’s cookies, nacho bar late night…all very Graham and Bart. The custom paper goods were monogramed marking Cashiers as the Wedding destination.

I loved this couple and everything about their wedding weekend! The indoor/outdoor space was exactly what they were looking for, so their guests could feel the spring mountain air and experience the cool summer nights that Cashiers is known for. From the amazing Rehearsal Dinner at Canyon Kitchen to “Glow-Necklace” ring toss while the Dickens played their heart out. Fabulousness.

We are so proud to be featured on Style Me Pretty for Sara + Andrew’s fall Lonesome Valley wedding!

Sara and Andrew worked with Melissa of Asheville Event Co. to put together a gorgeous wedding and reception. Starting with the stunning Canyon Kitchen at Lonesome Valley backdrop and incorporating French country inspiration with a strong emphasis on florals, this wedding is absolutely swoon-worthy. We love how the bride, Sara, described the look: “A little bohemia, a little French country, a little rock n roll, lots of candlelight.”

Claxton Farm - Realities Photography - Yellow and Green Asheville Event Co. Table

We are so excited that Lisa & Chuck’s Claxton Farm green and yellow wedding was featured on Inside Weddings!

“Lisa and Chuck love the mountains and wanted a true outdoor wedding with a simple, bohemian feel, so they chose the green meadows and mountain views of Claxton Farm in Asheville, North Carolina for their celebration. The couple exchanged vows in an open field decorated with yellow blooms and a rustic metal arch covered in greenery. Lisa also surprised Chuck by arriving at the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage, in honor of her lifelong passion for horseback riding.” To view the Inside Weddings post for more about the wedding and additional photos by Realities by Jill, click here!

Anne and Ryan are truly childhood sweethearts.  They met in elementary school and this is a true love story.  I started working with this amazing couple 18 months before their wedding day and it was such an honor to get to know them.  Ryan is a fantastic potter with such a creative spirit and Anne is extremely busy in medical school pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor.  Anne loves design.  Anne loves letterpress.  Anne and Ryan love foxes.  They both love great food.  We were a match made in heaven – from the mustard, eggplant and gold color scheme to the amazing printed materials provided by Mink Letterpress to the floral provided by Blossoms at Biltmore Park to the location at The Venue – the entire event was perfect.  And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the amazing cake!  Tiffany’s Baking Co. created such a beautiful custom cake with a sprinkle base and sprinkle layers complete with super cute foxes on top – so fun for a wedding close to the holidays!  Lastly, Anne looked absolutely stunning with hair and make-up by Blush by Wendy Ballance.  I’m so glad that we could be a small part of their fairy tale wedding.  Thank you so much to Jeremy Russell for capturing every moment and emotion of this incredible day.

Sometimes, mom’s just know.

Jenna’s mom was the one who first met Austin and upon meeting him at Covenant House Georgia, a non-profit organization that works with homeless youth, she knew he would be perfect for her daughter. As fate would have it, about a year later Jenna began working at Covenant House Georgia. Jenna and Austin were finally able to meet and after some time (and just as Jenna’s mom imagined) they hit it off and quickly became inseparable…. which leads us now to their big day 🙂

Jenna and Austin’s wedding was full of gorgeous details and we were honored to be a part of the celebration. Katy Cook beautifully documented this happy day and we are excited to share these images with you! Seeing the joy and excitement of Jenna and Austin and their family and friends, along with all the heart-warming details makes us smile – it was a wonderful day and a very special wedding. Austin’s father officiated the ceremony at the Lodge at Deerpark that was decorated with lovely natural, yet polished floral elements. After the ceremony, everyone danced the night away and had a blast!

Katie + John envisioned an elegant simple spring wedding in Asheville. The lovely bride, Katie, grew up here and is a member of the gorgeous All Souls Cathedral in Biltmore Village. The ceremony was held inside the chapel with the reception following on the lawn.

Food hailed from some of our favorites: 12 Bones for the rehearsal dinner and Corner Kitchen for the reception. This was a sweet spring wedding on a gorgeous day that included some personal touches from the couple, such as the Tar heel cookie favors and an heirloom wedding gown.

A beautiful tribute to her mother and grandmother, Katie not only displayed photos from their wedding days, Katie wore the same gown as they both wore. We don’t see that very often at weddings, but it was such a sweet way to incorporate tradition into such a meaningful day.

Biltmore House, America’s largest home, provides unlimited opportunities to take in the natural beauty and grandeur of the grounds and estate. When arriving to Biltmore, you are immediately transported to another time, where hospitality and horse-drawn carriages provide a true southern experience. The grand Biltmore Estate is home to numerous wedding venues to match every couples personality and vision for their big day. For our February spotlight, we wanted to feature Diana at Biltmore Estate.

Showcasing stunning long range views of Biltmore House and the Blue Ridge Mountains, this exclusive location among the trees creates the perfect environment for a fairy-tale wedding. Placed upon the stunning hilltop near a statue of Diana, a permanent brick floor sets the stage for you to create the event you envision from the ground up for up to 500 guests. We love that Diana provides a gorgeous blank canvas for the ceremony and reception, so the tent, lighting, colors and decor can be exactly how you envision everything coming together. While Diana is an outdoor venue, Diana includes permanent restroom facilities, a room for the bride to wait for her entrance, and easy access to parking.

Brides.com called the Biltmore Estate “one of the USA’s most beautiful, destination wedding venues” and Biltmore received The Knot’s “Best of Weddings” for 2013, as well as a 2013 “Editors’ Pick.”

Take a moment to look through the breathtaking images below from events we’ve planned with photos by RealitiesParker J., Woodward & Rick, and Mozingo Photography. Could this be the venue for you?
