Ashley and Christian were married on a beautiful June day at Lioncrest at Biltmore Estate. It seemed only fitting for them to get married back in Asheville, since 6 years earlier they had met and fell in love in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. They kicked off their wedding weekend with rooftop cocktails overlooking downtown Asheville and the weekend ended with a full dance floor courtesy of The Business.  The groom even sat in with the band near the end of the night!

We loved Ashley’s vision from the beginning and she had a lot of great DIY ideas on her pinterest board.  The couple surrounded their guests with homemade wedding signs and family photos.  The centerpieces were full of white peonies, blue hydrageneas and beautiful glass vases full of lemons.   Lindsey Lee captured all of the beautiful details and emotion of the day and you can find more photos at her blog post here.   Magic Hour Creative filmed the event and you can see their video here.

This stunning event has been published on Belle the Magazine and their story was highlighted recently in the Charlotte Observer.

And they lived happily ever after…..

We had the pleasure of working on our first wedding at Camp Merrie-Woode in Sapphire. The setting is breathtaking and add to that a group of devoted past campers and you get a fun and gorgeous wedding. The rehearsal dinner took place at Canyon Kitchen in Lonesome Valley and was another beautiful venue with rustic elegance, a stunning backdrop and amazing food.  Accenting the outdoors and simple, classic look that Martha wanted to create, we opted for feasting tables and a grey and green color scheme. The tables were named after cabins at Camp Merrie-Woode and the guests were treated to a custom menu created by Chef John Fleer of Canyon Kitchen.

The Wedding Ceremony took place at the newly completed Outdoor Chapel at Camp Merrie-Woode. Martha and Greg were surrounded by family and friends on a gorgeous spring day. Jameson (the couple’s dog) was the ring bearer. After the ceremony, performed by Greg’s dad, a bagpiper lead the guests down the road for cocktails on the lily pad pavilion. It was a gorgeous evening paired with a super moon which rose over the rock face on the lake. Guests were treated to some southern vittles created by Chef Fleer and his team and danced the night away to music by the Venture Rays – who put on an amazing show.

Many thanks to all the fantastic vendors that helped make this wedding weekend a success!

Stephanie & Rob are the sweetest couple and it was such a pleasure working with them. I can’t remember how many years they had been together before Rob finally popped the question, but it was such a hot topic that his family wrote and sang a song about it at the reception. A very talented group of musicians indeed, the music theme was weaved into several elements of the day. Rob’s dad played guitar for the ceremony, sheet music was incorporated into the boutonnieres as well as the farewell toss, Rob wrote the Song that Stephanie walked down the aisle to…it was just so intimate and touching.

Stephanie & Rob incorporated many personal touches into their day. My favorite was the custom bobble heads that she got as a surprise for Rob’s Groom’s cake. They were a huge hit and I am sure a constant reminder to them of their perfect wedding day. It was a idillic spring day at Homewood which lent itself to an outdoor cocktail hour and beautiful sunset. Lissa and her team from Flora created gorgeous floral arrangements with hot pinks and purples (and sheet music!). The colors popped on the slate grey bridesmaids dresses.

Sarah Whitmeyer captured the occasion and the celebration of this couple beautifully. Many thanks to the vendors that helped execute Stephanie & Rob’s vision perfectly.

The exact details of Katie & Jimmy’s first official meeting is still up for debate between them, but it’s generally agreed that they met at a party at Katie’s house in 2002. They attended Appalachian State and both loved living in Boone, NC. So six years later when all the twists and turns of their relationship landed them ready to make the commitment of marriage, there was no doubt the mountains would be involved..

Check out this recent post on Style Me Pretty that includes the fabulous video from LifeStage Films.

Stephanie & Dave fit each other perfectly. They blend two kind, fun and very adventurous personalities with a great sense of humor and sheer adoration for each other. When I first met with them it was clear that they just wanted to have a good party. Stephanie enlisted Blossom’s at Biltmore Park to execute her pink and green color scheme. They created beautiful over sized pink paper flowers which were incorporated with gorgeous pink peonies and a variety of greenery with some feather accents.

Very unique and very Stephanie. Oh those shoes! Stephanie hand glued gems on her stunning wedding shoes. The ceremony was very original and unlike any I have ever seen. Two Rings did a wonderful job capturing this perfect day. For more photos of Stephanie and Dave’s Wedding check out this blog post by Two Rings.

Dylan of Blazin’ Sounds Entertainment had everyone on the dance floor – doing some dances that like the bride and groom – were uniquely theirs.

They also enlisted the talented team of Magic Hour Creative to capture everything on video. Here’s a link to their wedding film.

What words best describe Mary Craig and Rich? Love, running, travel, friends, family & fun! I found it hard to keep up with Mary Craig – she was always on the road working and meeting up with Rich in some city whenever possible or running a 5k!

There was so much love in the air on Mary Craig and Rich’s wedding weekend.  The wedding was held in the gardens of The Farm at Old Edwards Inn surrounded by mountains and nature. After the wedding rehearsal dinner at Wolfgang’s, the bride, groom and some guests woke up Saturday morning and participated in an “I Do Dash” 5K to energize everyone for the big day. The flowers by Flora and breathtaking images were captured by Irresistible Portraits. The bride and her mom were very DIY – Mary Craig enlisted her mom to make hundreds of jars of jam as a wedding favors for guests. There were a variety of personalized items, handmade drink stirrers, custom koozies and a cigar bar.  Check out their blog post from the day, right here.

I had the distinct pleasure of helping one of my good friends and colleagues execute their – stunningly gorgeous, full of romantic details – wedding this past weekend and couldn’t wait to post at least a few images.  The setting at the Cellar’s at Betty’s Creek was breathtaking!  Thank you to Angela Cox Photography – I can’t wait to see more!

I had an absolute blast planning Nicki and Gregg’s three-day destination wedding at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville. They treated their guests to a full three days of dinner, dancing, golfing, spa treatments at the fabulous Grove Park Inn and day passes to the Biltmore Estate. The weekend culminated with an absolutely beautiful ceremony on the Tylorean Terrace, followed by the reception in the Bosendorfer Salon and Ballroom at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville.

I loved Nicki’s decor vision! Before ombre became trendy, we began planning Nicki’s vision last fall, along with the ever so talented Beth with Studio Flora Diva for a graduated color palette of pinks and burgundies. Tiffany with Tiffany’s Baking Co. completed the look with a stunning cake created all from beautiful sugar flowers and an awesome groom’s cake shaped like the groom’s favorite bottle of wine!

Visio Photography captured some stunning photos full of emotion!

Woodward and Rick captured SO many beautiful photos and details of Mallory and Stuart’s gorgeous wedding that this event deserved two blog posts!  This post focuses on alot of the details so I have to mention the talented team at Blossoms at Biltmore Park – they created a beautiful backdrop to a truly beautiful day.   Enjoy!

We started working with Mallory and Stuart 15 months prior to their wedding. Stuart is in the military (he’s actually a BOMB TECHNICIAN! I’m sure there’s a more official name for this incredible career but I definitely know one of his reponsibilities is disabling bombs!) So, their wedding was definitely dictated by his available leave in early March.  They wanted a formal church ceremony and we followed that with a beautiful tented reception on private property.  Fortunately, their early March wedding was blessed with beautiful sunny skies and the guests enjoyed 60 degree weather!  I enjoyed every minute of working with Stuart, Mallory and Mallory’s mom, Linda, Woodward and Rick captured every gorgeous emotion and detail of this stunning event.  There are just too many photos so post #2 will be coming your way!
