What a great way to start off the week! Dave and Neera’s gorgeous wedding at Deerpark at Biltmore Estate is featured on Completely Unveiled – the Weddings Unveiled Blog.  I absolutely love Dave and Neera’s sunrise Hindu ceremony and sunset American reception. The color palate and traditions are strikingly different as you can see from the post below…..

Neera and Dave’s wedding was a spectacular all day affair celebrating their two cultures, photographed by the talented husband and wife photography team, The Schultzes. Asheville Event Co. coordinated the entire wedding day at the gorgeous historic Biltmore Estate. The day began with a traditional hindu ceremony at sunrise designed in a rich wedding palette of ivory and whites, gold and deep reds. The courtyard at Deerpark provided an enchanting setting for the ceremony blending the romance of the gardens with the rich cultural ceremony. Neera wore a stunning red sari with gold embroidery and accessorized with a gorgeous collection of ornate jewels and a fabulous pair of red suede peep toe pumps with ruffled detailing. She made a grand entrance into the ceremony carried on a gold doli draped with red fabric. Neera and Dave sat in brilliant white carved chairs during the ceremony, while guests sat around the courtyard on gold silk cushions with beautiful gold and burgundy pillows as they watched on.
After the Hindu ceremony the celebration continued with an American wedding reception at night. Neera wore a beautiful strapless A-line gown paired with silver flats adorned with jewels and a white orchid blossom in her dark locks. Dave complimented her in a black suit with white button down, apple green tie and white orchid boutonniere. The reception was designed in a simple clean palette of natural hues, including crisp white, fresh green and brown. Pretty black and green designed place cards welcomed guests as they entered in a wood tray of green seeds. Each place card featured a mathematical equation that had to be solved in order to decipher which table you were to sit at. Guest tables were draped in brilliant white linens with a variety of gorgeous centerpieces designed by Blossoms at Biltmore Park. Low arrangements of white hydrangea blossoms set in square vases decorating half the tables, while tall arrangements with vases filled with green apples and branches adorned with hanging votives decorated the others. Don’t miss any of the details of the reception, including the fun trivia game about Neera and Dave set at each table and the couple’s delicious three tier white confection with pin dot detailing. Here’s a sneak peak of Kristen & Matt’s wedding at the NC Arboretum. More pictures to come from A Portrait of You Photography.

In lieu of flowers, Kristen’s bouquet was made out of fabric from her mothers wedding gown. Lissa of Flora did a beautiful job creating this keepsake. Matt’s boutonniere was made out of law book paper, tennis strings and piano wire — all elements incorporated from Matt & Kristen’s life together.

Rebecca & Travis were married on August 14th.  They were such a wonderful couple to work with and their love for each other is apparent.

They chose The Farm at Old Edwards Inn for their fabulous destination wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Chris and Katie of 6 of Four Photography and they did a beautiful  job capturing this stunning couple and their wedding day. Kirk and Don of Oakleaf Flower and Garden did an amazing job of bringing Rebecca’s vision to life. They incorporated antlers into her bouquet and throughout the decor to create a romantic hunting lodge. The Farm was the perfect backdrop for this inspiration. The guests dined on an incredible variety of food from Old Edwards Inn and danced the night away with the band Liquid Pleasure.

Andrea & Ty got married on a Thursday…May 27th, 2010. They are two of my favorite clients. Self-proclaimed “foodies”, it was important to them to include great food & great wine. The reception tables were all named after select cheeses which the guests could enjoy during the cocktail hour.

It was a beautiful day and we got to work with the fabulous Parker J Pfister who photographed this wonderful couple and helped capture the wedding of their dreams.

The ceremony was held at the Blue Ridge Court at the North Carolina Arboretum. Andrea wanted a romantic and intimate garden wedding. The Arboretum was the perfect backdrop for their day.

With purple as the accent color, hydrangeas, roses and lavender were incorporated to bring her vision to life. Stacey from the Bloom Room did an amazing job as always… The Baker Center was transformed into a romantic candlelit space with lots of mercury candles and flowers.

Andrea & Ty added personal touches like the Cigar and Bourbon Bar during the cocktail hour and the Candy Bar for the reception.  All of the Candy was purple! Andrea created adorable candy bags for the guests to fill up as well as lavender filled bags for the farewell toss. The programs, table cards and signs were printed by The Green Kangaroo.

Many, many thanks to all the vendors who helped bring Andrea & Ty’s vision to life. We just loved working with them and all of the fabulous vendors involved.

Parrish knew what she wanted from the beginning of the planning process, and what resulted was one of the most beautiful and most professionally satisfying weddings I’ve ever been a part of.  I absolutely loved the concept, decor vision and venue from the beginning.  The road that it took to get to the end might have been a bit windy, but it was well worth it. Let’s start with the venue – Laurel Ridge Country Club built a fabulous, brand new Clubhouse that is attached to their existing Pavilion.  The staff had never done a ceremony in the Clubhouse, facing the golf course.  Phone conversations, site visits and several planning meetings later we determined that we could fit 250 people in the Clubhouse to witness Parrish & Jonathan’s ceremony – and this revelation is where I’ll start for this blog post.

The ceremony had all of the makings for a stunning yet meaningful part of the day – The officiant was a childhood friend (and superfun!), Parrish’s nephews were ring bearers and they wore little sear-sucker suits and carried yellow trucks, the view from the Clubhouse was plentiful with a wall of windows behind the altar, there was a hand-constructed natural wood cross and tons of Parrish and Jonathan’s family and friends to witness the beautiful occasion!  Did I mention the extraordinary talents of Amber Holritz by Corey McNabb yet?  She documented such a beautiful day. The men started the day off with a round of golf – the view from the course is just breathtaking! Parrish was so happy all day – her smile was just infectious!

Amber really has an incredible ability to capture emotions on the day of the event!  Thanks so much Amber!
