We are featured in the recent issue of the The Knot North Carolina! The article is the “Eco-Friendly Wedding Guide” and we are featured as a favorite, local, earth-conscious vendor.

“The creative team at Asheville Event Co. will help you plan your local or destination wedding with as few or as many eco-friendly details as you like. From recycled invites to local foods and favors, this company will keep your wedding’s impact on the earth to a minimum – without sacrificing style.”

Craig from Luster Studios in Raleigh shot these beautiful pictures of Brianne at the NC Arboretum. We got lucky with the weather and had an hour to capture our bride with the misty mountains behind her. The Arboretum has so many beautiful spaces for wedding ceremonies and photo shoots. Asheville Event Co. is working with Brianne on her December 2009 wedding at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville.

Jamie and Bryan’s custom-designed wedding invitation won a Smock award! Smock Paper is a line of letterpress printed material sustainably printed on bamboo paper in Upstate New York. It’s a hand-drawn rendering of their wedding venue – Claxton Farm. It’s so beautiful and unique! We can’t wait to post photos of this vintage-inspired wedding after Jamie and Bryan get married in a couple of weeks!

We had such a fabulous and fun time working with Ansley and Jay for their Wedding at Lioncrest at Biltmore Estate! And we loved their vision of an Asian Ocean themed wedding – so unique, beautiful and different!  Beth with Studio Flora Diva and Get Lit Lighting did a fabulous job with the decor.  And special thanks to Amber Holritz with Corey McNabb for these fabulous shots of the couple and their wedding details and to Paul and Holly with Four Seasons Films for capturing all the beautiful moments on video.

A special thank you to all the vendors for a job well done!

Jessica and Tyler got engaged on July 4th so it was important to them to have their wedding around the same time. It was the PERFECT weekend in Asheville. The staff at Homewood even commented on the incredible day we had.

The guests were able to enjoy a long weekend, a fun and fabulous wedding in Asheville and some fireworks on the 4th!!! 2&3 Photography out of Raleigh did a great job covering the wedding. Many thanks to Thad, Sarah and Krista who are friends of the bride and groom.

The ceremony was held in the Glen across from Homewood. The heavy hors d’oeuvres reception was catered by those fabulous girls at The Colorful Palate. Sarah from City Bakery created this beautiful and delicious cake and adorned it with incredible orchids from The Bloom Room.

The guests partied well into the night and had a lot of fun dancing and singing… if only I could show you all the photos!

Many thanks to all the wonderful vendors that helped make this wedding perfect!
